Two Horvath howlers in a row cuts short USA keeper's debut

USA midfielder Weston McKennie had a dream debut for his country against Portugal, but for goalkeeper Ethan Horvath, he had to endure a disastrous debut between the sticks after making two errors in a row. Horvath, who plays for Belgian side Club Brugge, was responsible for Portugal's equaliser when he somehow spilled Vitorino Antunes's tame volley in between his legs and into the goal. Portugal almost took the lead a few minutes later when Horvath's weak forward pass to his defender was easily intercepted, and the clearly nervous Horvath would be substituted after half-time.
