Wigan 0-2 Southampton: Hughes earns first win as Saints boss


New Southampton manager Mark Hughes earned his first win at the club with a 2-0 victory at Wigan in the FA Cup. Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg fired in the opener on 62 minutes from Dusan Tadic's corner kick. Manolo Gabbiadini earned a penalty on 73 minutes but his subsequent spot-kick was brilliantly saved by Wigan keeper Christian Walton. Cedric Soares made sure of the win with a solo finish from a narrow angle in the 91st minute of stoppage time.
