Adler & Sommer saves keep things 0-0 between Mainz & Gladbach

Rene Adler and Yann Sommer were instrumental as Mainz hosted Borussia Monchengladbach desperate to earn points to fuel their fight to stay in the Bundesliga. The hosts threatened first but Sommer did well to push a header from a corner onto his bar before gathering safely as it came back down. Adler followed suit with his own heroics at the other end as Anthony Ujah's horrible backpass nearly put Gladbach through but his custodian was alert to rush off his line and quickly thwart the danger with a last-ditch tackle.
